DAY 12

This day was atrociously hot. Weather reports at Phantom Ranch say it was 114ยบ, but with the canyon walls, lack of wind, and reflective water...it felt even hotter.
It was time to find a side canyon with water! And that is what we did, going for a hike into this canyon with very cool erosion pockets in all the walls. At the back,
not more than a mile in, we came upon a very weak stream. But it was enough; a pool was formed and the water was cold! Again, it was time for showers. Some
of the others in our group decided to explore further, climbing the slippery face of the canyon wall. I didn't do that, but rather sat in the shade and ate my lunch.
