DAY 6
Today we reached Phantom Ranch. It was Gabby's plan to hike out from here, and Kim who has reached the limits of her physical endurance, has opted to join her in that trek.
We arrived at the bridge and tied off the rafts. Gabby and Kim split off to the Bright Angel trail and hiked 11 miles out (1 mile vertically) in 110ยบ, while the rest of us sought
cold drinks and refuge at the lodge. We filled out postcards, rested for a bit, then hiked the mile back to our rafts with only six of us to complete the journey. The day brought
us more majestic vistas, and 3 exhilirating level 8's which we shot with expert precision. We ended in a peaceful canyon by sunset; camp was rushed but we did it before dark.
