DAY 7

We spent a lot of time rowing today, looking at canyon walls that seem to grow ever steeper at each bend in the river. We ran two 7s, a 6 and a 5 today without flaw. On the map
we are looking for all side canyons that have running water tributaries. By about midday, we tied off in a cove that had wet sand, a sure sign that water was likely to be
running somewhere deep in the fissure behind it. So in we went. After a short hike through a narrow side canyon with interesting geologic formations, we were rewarded
with a waterfall and a warm pool deep enough to jump into. It was a real spirit-lifter...baths for all of our stinky sweaty people!
