This was a project I did as a subcontractor for Multimedia Resources, Inc., a company that specialized in interactive systems. This one was for Wellspring, called DORIS (Doctor's Office Receiving Information System), planned to help patients and doctors by facilitating quick information collection and recording at check-in.
First, I tried a ‘lifestyle’ approach using various illustration filters:
The client wanted to see ideas with and without the background images altogether. So, I created some various looks:
They chose a style they liked, and then we did some focus groups upon variations to the color:
From there, the feedback was tallied, and we made even further color refinements. Here are the arrays we went through:
And finally, we agreed upon a final scheme, and I created all the screens for the patient registration check-in:
