Quintessential
A client with a mathematically advanced software product asked me to develop a logo based on the 4D cube.
First I rigged an elastic node object in 3D to test the 4D illusion.
Then I applied some metaballs to create a more fluid organic feel, and tested some angles.
This was getting closer to what I was thinking, so I tested a rough on the client.
The client liked the direction, so I vectorized my best render for professional reproduction.
Once a vector, I could try a variety of color applications easily.
Finally arriving at the one we liked best, I added the tagline and it was done.
If you have one of the more recent browsers where they’ve disabled animated GIFs (so sad), you may not see the variations below animate.
We tried these color variations for target markets too.
