Conceptual redesign of a historic hotel's sub level recreational area.
Little known to most people, the historic Governor Hotel in Portland Oregon has a steam room, a spa and pool and a running track in the basement of the building. Once frequented by patrons in the 1950s and earlier, these amenities have been long neglected and the space is now used only as a storage room. In this project with Gotham4, I was given the hotel’s blueprints and asked to conceptualize the space remodeled as a destination production facility for filmmakers.
