Working as Art Director for Creative Media Development, I did a lot of training programs for their Safety Training Systems division. This interface is literally the first I ever created, before Photoshop even had layers, and we were limited to 1/8 screen video at the time and 8-bit color. The program was designed to teach Ford employees the OSHA safety procedure for Lockout Tagout, a policy to prevent accidental asphyxiation in the work tunnels under the paint vats. I went to the Ford facility and saw a hanging crane controller that the employees use to dunk the car parts into the paint vats, so I used it as n interface device, and used concrete and diamond plate for the theme in keeping with the look of the facility.
