Pat Johnson established the brand agency, NORTH, in 1991 and directed the teams that developed branding programs for such companies as Portland General Electric, Umqua Bank, Starbucks, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Brooks Running, Jantzen Swimwear, Ann Sacks Tile & Stone, Gerber Legendary Blades, Deschutes Brewing, Keen Footwear and the City of Portland, often with exponential results.

In 2005, Pat was recognized as Advertising Professional of the Year by her industry. In 2010, she established the consulting company, Ammonista, which collaborates with executive leadership to excavate the most meaning out of their brand and build the delivery system to realize it in an authentic, sustainable, and profitable way.
